About Hydriomena rixata (Felder & Rogenhofer, 1875)

Hydriomena rixata is a moth species belonging to the family Geometridae. It was first formally described in 1875 by Felder & Rogenhofer. This species is endemic to New Zealand. The current classification of New Zealand endemic moths placed in the genus Hydriomena is considered unsatisfactory and requires revision. For this reason, this species is also currently referenced as Hydriomena (s.l.) rixata. Adult individuals of this moth species are known to act as pollinators for Dracophyllum acerosum.
