About Hordeum murinum L.

Hordeum murinum L. is a species of flowering plant in the grass family Poaceae. It is commonly called wall barley or false barley, and is a close relative of cultivated barley (H. vulgare). H. murinum is considered a difficult weed when growing in cereal crop fields, but it has practical uses: it works well as feed for grazing animals, and it is the main source of forage for cattle production in water-deficit areas.
