This moth has been recorded from southern and central Europe, the southern region of European Russia, Asia Minor, Turkey, and Transcaucasus. Adult individuals of this species are active in flight from May through August. The larvae of Hoplodrina respersa feed on a wide range of different herbaceous plants.
