Platnick, this species is distributed across South Europe, starting from central France, the Balkans, northern Africa, and Central Asia. Hogna radiata is a wandering hunter that preys on smaller insects measuring less than 20% of its own body size. It can be found living in grassy areas, parks, and forests.
