About Hibiscus aethiopicus L.

Hibiscus aethiopicus L. is a small, herbaceous perennial plant belonging to the mallow family, Malvaceae. It is native to eastern and southern Africa, and has a growth habit that ranges from prostrate to semi-erect. Its flowers range in color from pale yellow to white, and are rarely pinkish; they usually do not have a dark central marking. The epicalyx of this species bears 10 to 12 narrow, fringed bracts. Its leaves are covered in hairs, and have an elliptic to oval shape.
