Heterotheca stenophylla, commonly known as the stiffleaf goldenaster, is a North American flowering plant species belonging to the Asteraceae family. It is native to the Great Plains region of the central United States, where its distribution extends from South Dakota in the north southward to Texas and New Mexico. Two varieties are recognized for this species: Heterotheca stenophylla var. angustifolia (Rydb.) Semple and Heterotheca stenophylla var. stenophylla.
