Hestina persimilis (Westwood), commonly known as the siren, is an East Palearctic species of siren butterfly belonging to the subfamily Apaturinae. It is distributed in western China, and the area stretching from Simla to Assam, as well as Orissa. The larva of this species feeds on Celtis australis.
