Hesperilla idothea, commonly called the flame sedge-skipper, is a butterfly species belonging to the family Hesperiidae. It can be found in the Australian states of New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, and Victoria. This species has a wingspan of approximately 40 millimeters. The larvae of Hesperilla idothea feed on multiple species of sword grass, specifically Gahnia aspera, Gahnia clarkei, Gahnia grandis, Gahnia melanocarpa, Gahnia radula, Gahnia sieberiana, Gahnia subaequiglumis, and Gahnia trifida.
