Hesperilla donnysa Hewitson, 1868, commonly called the donnysa skipper or varied sedge skipper, is a butterfly species that belongs to the family Hesperiidae. It can be found in the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, and Western Australia. Males of this species have a wingspan of approximately 30 mm, while females have a wingspan of approximately 35 mm. The larvae of Hesperilla donnysa feed on a variety of sword grass species from the genus Gahnia; one common host species is Gahnia sieberiana. Additional larval food plants that have been recorded for this species include Gahnia decomposita, Gahnia aspera, Gahnia clarkei, Gahnia deusta, Gahnia erythrocarpa, Gahnia filifolia, Gahnia grandis, Gahnia lanigera, Gahnia microstachya, Gahnia radula, Gahnia subaequiglumis, and Gahnia trifida.
