Hemiscopis violacea is a species of moth belonging to the family Crambidae. It was first described by Thomas Pennington Lucas in 1892. This species is native to Australia, and it has only been officially recorded from the state of Queensland. The wingspan of adult Hemiscopis violacea measures approximately 15 millimeters. Its forewings are brown in color, marked with two unclear purplish bands.
