About Hemicordulia intermedia Selys, 1871
Hemicordulia intermedia, described by Selys in 1871, is a dragonfly species belonging to the family Corduliidae. It is commonly called the yellow-spotted emerald. This species lives in slow-flowing rivers, lagoons, and ponds throughout northern Australia. Hemicordulia intermedia is a small to medium-sized dragonfly with a black and yellow body and long legs. The inner edge of the hindwing is rounded in both males and females of this species.
