Helvibotys helvialis is a moth species that belongs to the family Crambidae. It was first described by Francis Walker in 1859. This species is found in North America, where its recorded range extends from California to Florida; in the eastern part of the continent, it ranges north to Massachusetts, Quebec, Ontario, Michigan, and Iowa. Males of this moth have a wingspan of 18–20 mm, while females have a wingspan of 16–20 mm. Adult Helvibotys helvialis have been recorded in flight from April through September. The larvae of this species feed on plants in the genus Amaranthus and on Beta vulgaris.
