About Heliothis nubigera Herrich-Schäffer, 1851

Technical description and variation: The wingspan of Heliothis nubigera ranges from 35 to 40 mm. The forewing is greyish ochreous. The dark grey reniform stigma is attached to the grey costal median spot. The orbicular stigma is annular with a grey centre. The outer line is lunulate and dentate, its teeth are whitish, and it is separated from the subterminal line by a brown shade. The hindwing is pearly white with a broad blackish outer border, which contains a double whitish blotch between veins 2 and 4. The veins and cell spot are dark, and the fringe is white. Distribution: This species is found in all Levant countries.
