About Helenium drummondii H.Rock

Helenium drummondii H.Rock is a species of perennial herb in the sunflower family, commonly called fringed sneezeweed. It is native to the south-central United States, where it occurs in eastern Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana. This perennial herb grows up to 60 cm (2 feet) tall. Its leaves are long, thin, and grass-like. A single plant typically produces only 1 to 3 flower heads. Each flower head is spherical or hemispherical, and can sometimes hold up to 1000 yellow disc florets, along with 13 to 30 yellow ray florets. This species grows in bogs, swamps, and other wet habitats.
