Hebius sauteri, commonly called Sauter's keelback or the Kosempo keelback, is a species of snake belonging to the family Colubridae. This species is endemic to Asia. H. sauteri is distributed in southern China, Taiwan, and northern Vietnam. Its preferred natural habitats are freshwater wetlands, grassland, shrubland, and forest, occurring at altitudes between 580 and 1,450 meters (1,900 to 4,760 feet). H. sauteri reproduces through oviparity, meaning it lays eggs.
