About Harpochloa falx (L.f.) Kuntze
Harpochloa falx, commonly called caterpillar grass, a name that refers to the shape of its inflorescence, is a species of flowering plant in the grass family Poaceae. It is native to South Africa, Lesotho, and Eswatini. While it is adapted to fire, it can outcompete and become dominant over other species in its habitat when regular burns do not occur.
