Hamadryas amphinome (Linnaeus, 1767), commonly known as the red cracker, is a species of cracker butterfly that belongs to the Nymphalidae family. It is native to North and South America. This butterfly can be found across a range extending from Mexico, through the Caribbean and Central America, into the Amazon basin (where it occurs in Brazil, Colombia, the Guianas, Peru, and Bolivia), and continues south into Argentina. The larvae of Hamadryas amphinome feed on Dalechampia scandens.
