Halysidota schausi, commonly known as Schaus' tussock moth, is a moth species that belongs to the family Erebidae. This species was formally described by Walter Rothschild in 1909. Its distribution ranges from Texas and Mexico south to Costa Rica, Guatemala, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, and Peru. It also occurs on Martinique and in the Lesser Antilles. Adult Halysidota schausi are primarily active as flying adults during the autumn season. The larvae of this species feed on Cestrum nocturnum.
