Halimium lasianthum (Lam.) Spach (synonym Cistus lasianthus), commonly known as the Lisbon false sun-rose or woolly rock rose, is a species of flowering plant in the family Cistaceae. It is native to the Iberian Peninsula (including Portugal and western Spain), southwestern France, and Northwest Africa (Morocco). This is a spreading evergreen shrub that grows to 1 m (3 ft) tall and 1.5 m (5 ft) wide. It has grey-green leaves and produces bright yellow flowers in spring; each petal may have a maroon blotch at its base. For cultivation, this plant requires sandy soil and full sun.
