About Haematopis grataria (Fabricius, 1798)

Adults of Haematopis grataria, also called chickweed geometers, rest with their wings held flat against their sides. The wings are pale yellow. Each forewing has a small red or pink spot at its center. Both the forewings and hindwings each bear two pink or red bands. When the moth is in resting position, these bands appear continuous across both pairs of wings. Male individuals have feathered antennae, while female individuals have thinner, thread-like antennae.
