Guarianthe aurantiaca is an orchid species. It has a wide distribution across much of Mexico, extending south to Costa Rica. The diploid chromosome number of this species has been identified as 2n = 40. Two phenanthrenoids, orchinol and loroglossol, act as phytoalexins and reduce the growth of Guarianthe aurantiaca seedlings.
