About Grindelia chiloensis (Cornel.) Cabrera
Grindelia chiloensis, commonly known as shrubby gumweed, is a flowering plant species belonging to the Asteraceae family. It is native to central and southern Chile, and Argentina. This plant is a perennial shrub adapted to grow in arid regions. Its dried leaves can contain up to 25% resin, so efforts are currently underway to bring the species into cultivation for resin and biomass production.
