About Gretchena bolliana (Slingerland, 1896)

Gretchena bolliana, commonly known as the pecan bud moth or gray-flanked gretchena moth, is a species of moth belonging to the family Tortricidae. In the United States, its distribution ranges from South Carolina to Florida, and extends westward to Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico. The adult moth has a wingspan of approximately 17 mm. It likely produces five to six generations each year. The larvae of this species feed on the foliage of Carya illinoinensis.
