Goodmania is a genus of plants in the buckwheat family, Polygonaceae, that contains only one species: Goodmania luteola. This species is commonly known as yellow spinecape. It is a very small annual herb that grows in low, small patches across the ground, reaching no more than a few centimeters in both height and width. It produces fuzzy, club-shaped leaves and bright yellow flowers. Goodmania luteola is native to California and Nevada.
