Gonitis involuta Walker, which is also referred to by the synonym Anomis involuta, is a moth species commonly known as the jute looper or hibiscus cutworm. It belongs to the family Erebidae. This moth has a wide geographic distribution. Its recorded range includes the Cook Islands, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, the Society Islands, and Australia; within Australia, it can be found in Western Australia, the Northern Territory, Queensland, New South Wales, and Norfolk Island. It has also been recorded from Kenya and Somalia. The wingspan of this species measures approximately 40 mm.
