About Gnaphalium palustre Nutt.
Gnaphalium palustre Nutt. is an annual herb with erect stems. Stems can be short, reaching a maximum height of around 30 centimeters (12 inches). A coating of woolly hairs gives the stems and foliage an almost white appearance. Its leaves are small, ranging in shape from lance-shaped to scoop-shaped. Its inflorescence holds a cluster of flower heads, nestled within a mass of woolly fibers. Each flower head has phyllaries that are brownish to pale yellowish, surrounding a center made up of many tiny flowers.
