About Glycine microphylla (Benth.) Tindale

Glycine microphylla, commonly known as the small-leaf glycine, is a small scrambling plant in the bean family. It is found in south eastern Australia, and also grows in tropical north eastern Queensland. Its leaves grow in groups of three, 1.5 cm long, 1 to 6 mm wide. Flower colour is variable, and flowers are most often mauve. It is a widespread plant, frequently found on soils derived from shale and metamorphic rocks. The specific epithet microphylla refers to the plant's small leaves.
