Glyceria striata (Lam.) Hitchc. is a species in the genus Glyceria, commonly known as fowl mannagrass and ridged glyceria. It is native to a large portion of North America, ranging from Alaska and northern Canada down to northern Mexico. This is a common bunchgrass species that grows in wet locations, most often in forests. It produces erect stems that reach a maximum height of over one meter, along with firm, narrow leaves. The inflorescence has spreading branches that hold oval to nearly round spikelets; each spikelet typically contains fewer than six florets.
