Gilia tricolor Benth., commonly called bird's-eyes, bird's-eye gilia, and tricolor gilia, is an annual flowering plant that belongs to the phlox family, Polemoniaceae. This species is native to California's Central Valley, as well as the foothills of the Sierra Nevada and Coast Ranges. Its native growing habitats are open, grassy plains and slopes located below 2,000 feet, or 610 meters. Occasional sightings of this plant have been reported on the iNaturalist platform from Western Washington and southwestern Canada. The seeds of Gilia tricolor are sold online to be grown as a garden flower.
