Geolycosa missouriensis, commonly known as the burrowing wolf spider, is a species of wolf spider that belongs to the family Lycosidae. This species is found in the United States and Canada. It is most active during the summer. Its hunting behavior is similar to that of trapdoor spiders: it waits inside its burrow, detecting incoming prey via vibrations in the ground.
