About Gentiana clusii E.P.Perrier & Songeon
Gentiana clusii is a species of gentian that closely resembles Gentiana acaulis. It can be distinguished from G. acaulis by three key traits: it has no green stripes on the inside of its corolla, the corners between its petals have a more pointed shape, and it prefers to grow in areas with underlying limestone bedrock. Like G. acaulis, Gentiana clusii occurs naturally in the Pyrenees, Alps, Apennines, Jura, Black Forest, and the Carpathians. Commercial seed suppliers offer seeds of Gentiana clusii.
