Genista acanthoclada DC. is a flowering plant species belonging to the genus Genista. It is native to the Eastern Mediterranean region, where it occurs in Türkiye, Greece (including mainland Greece, the eastern Aegean Islands, and Crete), Syria, and Lebanon. As of August 2025, Plants of the World Online recognizes two accepted subspecies of this species: Genista acanthoclada subsp. acanthoclada and Genista acanthoclada subsp. echinus (Spach) Vierh.
