Gastrophysa polygoni is a species of leaf beetle that belongs to the subfamily Chrysomelinae. This species was first described by Carl Linnaeus in 1758. Adult individuals of Gastrophysa polygoni can reach up to 5 millimeters in length, and have a green-blue overall body colouration. Their thorax is orange, while their wing cases are a metallic green. These beetles are active and can be observed during spring and summer.
