This species is found in California, along the Coast Ranges and extending as far south as Gilroy. Adult Gammarotettix bilobatus emerge in February and survive through June. Known host plants for G. bilobatus are California buckeye, California bay, coast live oak, barberry, Monterey pine, black locust, California lilac, and Christmas berry.
