About Galium rotundifolium L.
Galium rotundifolium, commonly called round-leaved bedstraw, is a plant species in the Rubiaceae family. It is widespread across most of Europe, and its natural range extends into Morocco, the Caucasus, and southwest Asia from Turkey to Afghanistan. Isolated populations have also been reported in Vietnam, Sabah, and Java. This species is an erect herb. Its leaves are broadly ovate, almost round, and typically grow in whorls of four, with prominent visible veins. Its flowers form a widely branching terminal panicle. Its fruits are green and covered in long hooked hairs.
