About Galium laevigatum L.

Galium laevigatum L. is a plant species that belongs to the Rubiaceae family. It is native to mountain regions of southern and Central Europe, specifically the Alps, the Pyrenees, and the Apennines. It has been officially recorded growing in Italy, Switzerland, France, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Slovenia, and Croatia. Compared to other species in its genus, Galium laevigatum is fairly large. It grows in an erect form, reaching up to 110 cm in height, and often reproduces via stolons that grow along the ground surface. Its leaves grow in whorls of 6 to 8; each leaf is lanceolate in shape and can grow up to 8 cm long. The plant produces white flowers that grow in a large terminal panicle.
