About Galium L.

Galium lucidum is a plant species that belongs to the Rubiaceae family. It is native to the Mediterranean region, occurring from Portugal and Morocco east to Greece, with its native range extending north into Germany. This species is an erect, hairless perennial plant that grows up to 70 centimeters tall. Its leaves are narrow and linear, reaching up to 3 centimeters in length, and grow in whorls with up to 10 leaves at each stem node. Its inflorescence is a large terminal panicle that holds many small, white to cream-colored flowers.
