Gahnia clarkei, commonly called tall sawsedge, is an evergreen plant species belonging to the sedge family, native to Australia. This plant reaches a height of 1.5 to 2 metres (4 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 7 inches), and also grows to the same width. It grows over the summer season, and produces large black to brownish flowers. Flower heads on this plant develop into small red seeds.
