About Fumaria capreolata L.

This species, Fumaria capreolata L., produces stems that reach up to 1 metre in length, and sometimes climb. Its leaves are pinnatisect. The inflorescences hold up to 20 flowers, which are white to cream with purple tips, and bloom in spring and summer. Gradually after pollination, the flowers turn pink. Unlike other Fumaria species that are known weeds of crops and agricultural areas, Fumaria capreolata can naturalize in regions of natural vegetation. It can smother low-growing plants, and acts as an environmental weed.
