It usually grows smooth, erect branches. Its fruit is nearly round, measuring 4 to 9 mm in length and 4 to 7 mm in thickness. The fruit is colored bluish-purple and covered with a whitish waxy coating. The seeds of Fuchsia paniculata Lindl. are 1 to 1.4 mm long and 0.5 to 0.8 mm thick.
