About Fritillaria viridea Kellogg

Fritillaria viridea Kellogg is a bulbous herbaceous perennial plant. It grows an erect smooth stem that reaches 30 to 65 centimeters (12 to 26 inches) in height. Several lance-shaped leaves, each growing up to 10 centimeters (3.9 inches) long, surround this stem. The top of the stem bears a raceme inflorescence that holds one or more nodding, bell-shaped flowers. Each flower has six tepals, which measure 1 to 2 centimeters (0.39 to 0.79 inches) long and range in color from pale to very dark green.
