Forsskaolea angustifolia Retz. is a small shrub or perennial herb. It has alternate leaves with toothed, prickly margins; the underside of the leaves is densely woolly, and stipules are present. This species is monoecious, with small, pinkish axillary inflorescences. Male flowers of Forsskaolea angustifolia have a single stamen. It is distributed across all of the Canary Islands, and is common in dry areas of the lower elevation zone there.
