About Flaveria linearis Lag.

Flaveria linearis Lag., commonly called narrowleaf yellowtops, is a North American plant species in the genus Flaveria of the Asteraceae family. It is native to Florida, Cuba, the Bahamas, and the Yucatán Peninsula of Mexico. This species is a perennial herb that grows up to 80 cm tall. It has long, narrow leaves that can reach up to 13 cm (5 inches) in length. A single plant can sometimes produce up to 150 small flower heads arranged in a branching cluster. Each flower head contains 2 to 8 yellow disc flowers, and sometimes a single yellow ray flower.
