Alavi (1983) and Jeanmonod (1998) wrongly designated an Allioni collection (1041.1 LINN) received by Linnaeus in 1757 as the type of Filago pygmaea L.
Note: Alavi (in Jafri & El-Gadi, Fl. Libya 107: 51. 1983) and Jeanmonod (in Gamisans & Jeanmonod, Compl. Prodr. Fl. Corse, Asteraceae I: 97. 1998) incorrectly identified an Allioni collection (1041.1 LINN), which was not received by Linnaeus until 1757, as the type.
