About Festuca myuros L.
Festuca myuros L. (synonym Vulpia myuros) is commonly known as annual fescue or rat's-tail fescue. It is an annual flowering plant that belongs to the grass family Poaceae. It was most likely originally native to Eurasia, but is now naturalized and found nearly worldwide. In the United Kingdom, it grows to form dense, uniform swards made up of fine, hair-like stems in recently disturbed habitats. It is often eventually outcompeted and displaced by perennial grasses.
