Festuca campestris Rydb., commonly called mountain rough fescue, is a grass species belonging to the family Poaceae. This species prefers subalpine grassland habitats and grows at higher elevations. It is endemic to an area ranging from southern British Columbia, Alberta, and southwestern Saskatchewan, southward through Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana. This species was first formally described in 1900 by Eduard Hackel.
