About Exochorda racemosa (Lindl.) Rehder
Exochorda racemosa (Lindl.) Rehder is a deciduous shrub that forms a loose, irregular, or upright vase-shaped structure. Its leaves are oblong, measuring roughly 4โ6 cm (1.6โ2.4 in) long and 1โ2 cm (0.39โ0.79 in) wide; leaf margins are rounded and toothed on the upper portion. This species produces white flowers that bloom from late April to early May. The flowers have rounded petals, 12 to 25 stamens, and are arranged in racemes of approximately six to ten flowers each. Individual flowers reach 4 cm (1.6 in) in diameter. After flowering, the plant develops brown, dehiscent seed capsules.
