Euthalia monina (Fabricius, 1787) is a species of butterfly. This species has a wingspan that reaches approximately 50–70 millimetres, which equals 2.0–2.8 inches. Males of Euthalia monina have blackish or dark brown wings, with blue-green iridescence covering the outer section of the wings. Female Euthalia monina have dark brown wings marked with pale greyish patterns. This butterfly species is distributed across Asia, with main populations located in Borneo, Sumatra, Java, Peninsular Malaya, Sikkim-Assam, Myanmar, Cambodia and Thailand. It prefers habitats in small clearings, glades, and trails within primary rainforests, and occurs at elevations between 0 and 1,000 metres (0–3,281 ft) above sea level.
