Males of Eurytela hiarbas have a wingspan ranging from 45 to 50 mm, while females have a wingspan ranging from 48 to 55 mm. The species produces continuous broods each year, with brood numbers peaking between November and March. The larvae of Eurytela hiarbas feed on Tragia glabrata, Dalechampia capensis, and Ricinus communis.
