About Euproctis pseudoconspersa Strand, 1923
Arna pseudoconspersa, commonly known as the tea tussock moth or Japanese browntail moth, is a moth species belonging to the family Erebidae. This species was first formally described by Embrik Strand in 1914. It is distributed in Japan, Taiwan, Korea, China, Vietnam, and India. Both the larvae and adult moths have hair-like structures that contain toxins, which can cause rashes, dizziness, and nausea in humans. This species is also considered a harmful pest. Adult moths have a wingspan ranging from 13 to 18 mm. The larvae feed on plants of the Camellia genus.
